I2S Input - Is It Better?
It depends, it looks like an HDMI cable and some companies use the same pin out but leave some disconnected. Some use their own pin out so you need to look in you manual it should show you. If they're both the same brand they will probably work to...
What's the best performing Pi based USB or SPDIF transport?
Depends on what you're streaming. High resolution Qobuz or MP3 quality Spotify.
Uptone Audio EtherREGEN review
But if you A/B back and forth after seconds or minutes, especially if you A/B/A/B/A/B in one session, it's often very hard to tell the differenceThat's the point, if there is a difference it will be apparent.
Speakers suggestion help
Might look at Revel M126be. If adding a subwoofer consider DSP to integrate it.
Distortion NAD C 658
I had the same issue using the C658 with an integrated amp. I think it has to do with a gain mismatch. Volume at 100 on the NAD it was very bad distorion it helped some reducing the volume on the NAD. I returned mine during the 60 day return period.
Signal to Noise Ratio and Amplifier Distortion
What do you consider a low Watt amp ? One of the most transparent amps the Benchmark AHB2 running full power both channels driven has a SNR about 130dB. So you can play at 120dBSPL and your noise floor will be at -10dBSPL in other words silence. I...
Isolated ground for 20 amp
My guess is using the neutral/white wire for ground is against code. In 10 /3 the red wire is not used unless you're doing 240 or three way lights. Black is phase 1Red phase 2White neutral Green or bare is ground.
Dedicated line: 10 gauge solid core or 8 gauge stranded
How many receptacles are you installing and what are you connecting to them.
How do I know when to use a subwoofer?
Subwoofer is fine for HT, they aren't my cup of tea for stereo listening.  27Hz should be low enough for most all music. You might like a sub and Rel makes good ones.

Speaker stand makers - Tannoy Turnberry
Skylan might be able to help you they do Harbeth stands. Timbernation is another.
Do Audiophile Cables Matter? Here's PROOF!
He’s about reducing the noise floor of the overall system. IMO he makes an interesting case for this with his demonstration. This video is deceptive. He's showing us something A. G. Bell knew over 100 years ago. You twist wire and it helps reduce ...
Streamer with AES3 Out and no DAC
Thanks jackd good to know. I'm not sure how accurate or easy it is using sliding volume controls in an app which is why I was looking for one with a remote.
Streamer with AES3 Out and no DAC
I have a NUC with USB out but any conversion needs to be done with an impedance transformer per the speaker recommendation. The only flexibility I need is AES3 out and good streaming the less boxes  and cables the better.
If a speaker stand is mass-loading, how much does it matter what they're made of?
Better is in the ear of the beholder. I've used steel and MDF I never noticed any ringing but I was using them for small surround speakers. I just liked the look of the Skylan and he can make the top to fit the speaker.
