Which USB Re Clocker
He opened your eyes by suggesting you buy a reclocker. If the DAC is decent it can handle noise from a streamer. What about the line noise from the reclocker to the DAC?
Seeking advice on Speakers that create an intimate 2 channel listening experience
Try to listen to some Joseph Audio speakers. Easy to drive, great timbre, coherent not a boomy bass.

Why don't you go educate them.

Yes, I've seen some of those as well. Here's a thread from that hated sight ASR on fuses affecting sound. It's not a blind test.https://audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/fuses-do-affect-sound-the-question-is-how-muc...
Dac upgrade
Get a $2000 Benchmark DAC3 and a friend over. Have him switch DACs without you knowing which is which. Better yet have a friend of a friend and have him switch without either of you knowing then you can decide with your ears not your eyes if $30,0...

The main question is how does the Metrum implement their USB. Is there a reason you think you need a reclocker? Noise problems? Sputtering ? If the USB is implemented correctly you should have no reason for a reclocker. If you’re confused research...

More interesting articles cd318. I've seen some of them.

In other words you have no idea why. It’s just a subjective opinion. There is absolutely no reason why a reclocker in an asynchronous system does anything if you have a competently designed modern DAC. Some DACs might get help by having a bit of l...
Who says cables don't make a difference?
LOL, I use the USB cable that came with my integrated amp. I don't think digital out sounds any better than USB anymore. It's simply my subjective opinion. I always used and thought coax sounded the best until my most recent foray into using USB. ...

Really? How?OP do not go down this idiotic road. The DAC controls the clock you can reclock USB 5 times between the source and the DAC and the DAC will still control. If your DAC is older and isn't aysncronous then a reclocker might be of some use.

I'm not sure if the DAC you have uses asynchronous USB. I believe the company went out of business or is realigning or something. IMO you would be better off using your money to get a newer DAC that uses asynchronous USB which makes the notion of ...
good discussion on power cords
Yes, Groucho is pointing out memory is fallible and we tend to remember what we want in a way that pleases us.
good discussion on power cords
There is no problem.

Aural memory is no more accurate than visual memory. Yes we can associate certain feelings with aural stimuli just as with visual but those memories are filtered through our biases and emotions.
Who says cables don't make a difference?
You didn’t insult me. If I couldn’t take a little disagreement over cables I don’t belong on the internet.
