Didn't see a $$ limit I thought $650 was pretty good for towers with dual 6.5 woofers.

Not sure what speaker you are looking for but there is a set of new Klipsch RF 62 II on A’gon for $650 free shipping they have dual 6.5 woofers and at 97db will not take very many watts to get them loud not sure about SQ.

I just got a node2i today but never owned the previous model. I can only use wifi so wanted something with wifi5. Haven’t tried the built in dac probably will at some point for comparison. I think the main difference between the 2 and 2i is wifi5 ...

The electrician hopefully is a fairly smart guy or gal so I would begin by showing them what you want to connect to the receptacles they should be able to tell you what you need. Most likely a 15 amp circuit will be enough but if you want a 20amp ...

I've never heard of an integrated preamplifier though there certainly can be such a thing. If you mean an integrated amplifer then it depends some have the pre outs to connect external power amps.

DAC's isolate jitter maybe they could have something that lets you know how much jitter they isolated from the incoming stream before sent to the reclocker. If it only added $10 or $20 to the cost might be an interesting doodad to watch .

You were trying to get as close to the  original as possible and cloning is the only way I know, there could be better ways I am no expert.  Might get some ideas from one of the computer forums.

DRM was used on some CD's back in the 90's, perhaps up to 2003? Sony mostly and it isn't used anymore on CD's, of course iTunes still uses DRM.

If I am ripping my music to a hard drive I use dbpoweramp but when I want an exact copy of a CD I clone them. I also clone my hard drives as a backup.
