Most important fundamentals in your built/modded listening room?
Leaving the ceiling exposed is a good option. I like the industrial ceiling look you can Google industrial basement ceiling might give you some ideas. If you know where your speakers will set you can build some diffusion into the exposed joists.
Any Thoughts On These?
https://www.soundstagenetwork.com/measurements/test_loudspeakers.htmLink explains the measurements which might help in looking at any speaker. I personally don’t care for Vandersteen’s but I wasn’t trying to suggest a speaker just give some perspe...
Most important fundamentals in your built/modded listening room?
It could become very involved and expensive quick. You say 8 foot ceilings is there anything attached to the joists that can make it less? Wiring, plumbing, HVAC? You can double sheetrock or use something like quiet rock. Decoupling the sheetrock ...
Why are Ayon tube amps not mentioned very often?
You don't see their speakers mentioned often either. I suppose for the same reason.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again...
Getting carried away here. Perhaps this scientific video will help explain why cables matter. I'm not affiliated with First Run Copper Cables in any way. https://youtu.be/TneNgdfhIoQ
Why audiophiles are different (explained with color)
I'll assume that's a ditto.
New Perlisten S7T Towers
They are kind of funky looking but the measurements don't lie. The waveguide is where it belongs and the FR, distortion and directivity are exceptional only bettered by DSP controlled active monitors.
Why audiophiles are different (explained with color)
So, you have no idea either.

A very interesting video on color and color perception. How it comes into beingThe video only touched on how humans began using color for survival it never mentioned how "color or color perception " came into being. It did talk about the reasons w...
New Perlisten S7T Towers
Never heard them but I've seen the spins on them and they look pretty good.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again...
Since we're only concerned about the bandwidth audible to humans and runs of cable in feet not miles we don't need to worry about skin effect. Nothing posted on this thread supports or explains why copper wire has a different sound depending on di...

Cut lower frequency to help my bookshelf speakers
Looking at Stereophile old measurements of the Special 25 I would try the high pass cross at 100hz then try 120hz if you still hear distortion.

Both the 2x4 and 2x4HD use the same DAC the difference is the better DSP engine.
