Turntable upgrade
I was somewhat in the same boat last year. Got the itch for a new TT. I have a MoFi Ultra deck with the MoFi phono preamp.  I felt I could make the next major jump in many areas if I picked up a newer, more expensive TT. What I ended up doing was...
Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
Listened extensively to a pair of Sabrina's with an Aurender A20 at the 2024 Fla. Expo. I really enjoyed how natural and easy this simple set up sounded. The rep there played many requests, classical, Jazz and Rock. I felt that the Sabrina's didn'...
Line Magnetic LM 24 thoughts
Couldn’t agree more @v-fi, my favorite player until now was a Phillips CD80 with a tube output. Great player, smooth operator, flimsy tray.

I ended up buying one from my man at Northern Audio in Pittsburgh. It’s built like a tank. Has a very firm grip on the music. Detailed with excellent low end control. Nicely on the warm side.  Certainly will not need to upgrade for quite some time...
A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair.
Another easy vote for the Volti Razz. There have been a few pop up her and on USAM recently for $5k pre-loved. Or as suggested already, pick up a pair without veneer from Greg directly... great option.
Looking to move to a Tube Integrated setup
To clarify, he rectifier section is now solid state as opposed to the older models which were tube. I’m not an engineer, but have read that this is the difference.
Looking to move to a Tube Integrated setup
Hi @jijoh123 yes they are a bit different. I owned a Rogue Atlas 3 paired with a Rogue RP1 pre amp. Pretty powerful combo, muscular for sure, I could have easily stuck with the set up. There was an audible hiss and hum though, I couldn’t ignore it...
Looking to move to a Tube Integrated setup
I would add the Cary SLI80HS. It's been around a long time, built like a tank, excellent customer support.. It has all the sweetness, finesse and grunt you could want. 80/40 WPC either in Triode or UL.  Easily found here or on USAM starting in the...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed?
Good lord, you had folks worried, welcome back
Looking for more advice on purchasing a new turntable.
Mofi ultra deck with a Hana ML cart. I do understand that the top two mofi cartridges are excellent options. I used the cartridge that came with it for a couple years, a master tracker. It was very good and easy to live with. But when I installed...
???What's The LEAST Expensive "End Game"Amplifier You've Ever Heard???
I’ve got three to contribute. Main system is a factory modified Cary SLI 80 HS, it just does everything perfectly for me. Paired with Volti Razz, it’s a match made in heaven. Musical, powerful, dynamic. I can’t think of anything the pairing is mis...
Stand Mount Speakers for Classic Rock that sound alive at lower volumes ?
Completely agree with @ozzy62. When I had my Heresy IV’s I remember how good they were at lower levels. Still dynamic, musical, open. Only other would be the same IMO would be my Volti Razz, but they are not stand mounts. One other that may be an ...
???YOUR Personal Favorite???Why???
Way under budget, but I’ll never forget listening to Rogers studio 1 with a mission Cyrus 2 and PSX power supply. Closer to $15k Fleetwood DeVille
Turntable suggestions for a newbie
I've lived with a MOFI Ultradeck for several years now. Upgraded to a HANA ML cart and added a Parasound JC3 Jr. phono pre. For me it's a great set up. Solid, firm, black backgrounds, it's dynamic and detailed, never harsh. Right now I feel I woul...
Integrated Tube Amp approx. $2,500
I do have to say I heard the line magnetic at my local hifi shop (Northern Audio in Pittsburgh). Not sure what model but damn does it sing! I bought the line magnetic tubed CD player from NA and love it! Super well built.
