Looking to move to a Tube Integrated setup
To clarify, he rectifier section is now solid state as opposed to the older models which were tube. I’m not an engineer, but have read that this is the difference.
Looking to move to a Tube Integrated setup
Hi @jijoh123 yes they are a bit different. I owned a Rogue Atlas 3 paired with a Rogue RP1 pre amp. Pretty powerful combo, muscular for sure, I could have easily stuck with the set up. There was an audible hiss and hum though, I couldn’t ignore it...
Looking to move to a Tube Integrated setup
I would add the Cary SLI80HS. It's been around a long time, built like a tank, excellent customer support.. It has all the sweetness, finesse and grunt you could want. 80/40 WPC either in Triode or UL.  Easily found here or on USAM starting in the...
Cornwall IV vs. Volti Rival, Razz; Razz v. 1, 2, 3 -- what changed?
Good lord, you had folks worried, welcome back
Looking for more advice on purchasing a new turntable.
Mofi ultra deck with a Hana ML cart. I do understand that the top two mofi cartridges are excellent options. I used the cartridge that came with it for a couple years, a master tracker. It was very good and easy to live with. But when I installed...
???What's The LEAST Expensive "End Game"Amplifier You've Ever Heard???
I’ve got three to contribute. Main system is a factory modified Cary SLI 80 HS, it just does everything perfectly for me. Paired with Volti Razz, it’s a match made in heaven. Musical, powerful, dynamic. I can’t think of anything the pairing is mis...
Stand Mount Speakers for Classic Rock that sound alive at lower volumes ?
Completely agree with @ozzy62. When I had my Heresy IV’s I remember how good they were at lower levels. Still dynamic, musical, open. Only other would be the same IMO would be my Volti Razz, but they are not stand mounts. One other that may be an ...
???YOUR Personal Favorite???Why???
Way under budget, but I’ll never forget listening to Rogers studio 1 with a mission Cyrus 2 and PSX power supply. Closer to $15k Fleetwood DeVille
Turntable suggestions for a newbie
I've lived with a MOFI Ultradeck for several years now. Upgraded to a HANA ML cart and added a Parasound JC3 Jr. phono pre. For me it's a great set up. Solid, firm, black backgrounds, it's dynamic and detailed, never harsh. Right now I feel I woul...
Integrated Tube Amp approx. $2,500
I do have to say I heard the line magnetic at my local hifi shop (Northern Audio in Pittsburgh). Not sure what model but damn does it sing! I bought the line magnetic tubed CD player from NA and love it! Super well built.
Speaker Suggestions for Next Move
@jbhiller I have a pair of Razz. Entry level into the Volti line. I am completely over the moon with them, every time if fire them up I just feel so completely satisfied and happy with them. I picked my pair up directly from Greg at his shop. I ha...
Speaker Suggestions for Next Move
I honestly feel looking to either the Volti Lucera, or Volti Rival. Lucera new, in whatever nice finish you want, can be had at the lower end of your budget. The Rival, at the top end, (though you may need to search for a deal). Sometimes Volti ha...
Looking to upgrade my Goldenear Triton ones. Need help
When I listened to the Volti Lucera’s at the Fla audio expo early this year, they were pretty amazing in te mid range. Right in the price range op noted.  For me, there was no more coherent and natural sounding midrange at the show.
HiFi satisfaction and/ or Musical enjoyment
Where did OP go? Did he/she not stick around because of the less than supportive responsive comments at first? Still being a newb with only a couple hundred posts compared with others in the thousands, I can relate. Early on I may have sometimes c...
To all you Cary SLI 80 owners, I'm looking for tube suggestions
Thank you guys for the info and input. As it stands the current factory tube set is just fine. My thought is that since Cary made the rectifier section solid state, what I’m hoping for is a bit more warmth and sweetness in the mids and highs. I u...
