Origin Live Tonearms
@dodgealum I just need to use a Dremel tool to cut away enough to fit the mounting plate. Fortunately, I've got some virtual help with doing this. So I'm getting that you believe the Silver to be a well built tonearm despite the Zephyr being more ...
Origin Live Tonearms
@noromance In a free market economy that pretty much amounts to anything. I'm getting the impression that the Silver is cheaply made, that the bearings are like those in the older SME tonearms? That the arm tube possibly resonates? Regardless the...
Origin Live Tonearms
@noromance I can see where the extra $300.00 might be justified by getting an arm with better bearings. Better arm material would be a plus but not sure if it’s as important.

@antigrunge2 I believe there’s something to say about the fact that Akiko has  been able to stay in business for such a long time. Not sure if that’s due to the cost and effectiveness of their products or if it says more about their savvy business...
The best plug in filter ever!
I received an email response from Akiko Audio regarding the break in period and their newest tuning stick. Here it is, The burn-in time of the tuning sticks is indeed about 14-21 days. You can add a Triple AC Evolution to your system. This new Tr...

@antigrunge2 I’ve had the same experience by trying certain plugs in a variety of places. For example, I have two XLR inputs on my DAC and by plugging an XLR Tuning Stick into the right channel, it renders a more forward presence while plugging it...

@jerryg123 then maybe I ought to consider the Les Loss filters over any others. Thanks!
The best plug in filter ever!
@jerryg123 I watched the video, thanks. The Akiko requires a significant amount of burn in time. Right out of the box, it's harsh and bright and the graininess is cringe worthy. After a few days, it begins to settle in but it probably needs a full...

@nasaman I’ll probably wait for my tax refund. But yes, I hope the price stays where it is.

@verafiaudio all-right, thanks!

Wonder whether Puron will develop a power strip? Anyway, I’m interested in trying one of these, how do I place an order? Sorry ordering isn’t clear to me from reading through this thread. Thanks!

@lowrider57 Akiko makes tuning sticks with RCA’s, XLR, and prongs for outlets. They also make sticks that attach to cables. Here’s the website; https://www.akikoaudio.com/en/

Sorry, late to the discussion. I started using Akiko Audio ten or so years back and have been happy with the difference they make. I saw on the Akiko website that a new, copper colored triple enhancer was introduced. Apparently this new filter is ...
Help me understand cartridge alignment
If my alignment measurements were off, then I would feel compromised unless I could make the adjustments necessary. Anyway, there is an art to setting up a cartridge and there is a science too but nothing is so exact that you cannot make evaluatio...
Stereo cartrdge now playing mono!!
The hum could be coming from the tonearm too.
