Switching to battery power
pauly, thanks for the update. I would most likely draw more power than you, having my ESL's plugged in. I'm guessing that the additional battery would be enough. This battery option seems simpler and it makes much more sense than a traditional pow...
Switching to battery power
pauly, It will be some time as my amp is still with the tech and that won't be cheap to get it back. I'll probably post something about it when the time comes. Anyway, happy listening!
Switching to battery power
pauly, I plan to try my digital front end and then my phono amp and turntable. I’ll try those first, plugged directly into the battery and then through the passive line conditioner. The ECO is affordable by comparison to the other generator’s and ...

mijostyn, I've been hoping to replace that TP-16 tonearm for t least six years now but have yet to come up with the expendable income. It's always something. Anyway, when I do get to that place, the Sorane TA 1 is what I'm thinking about however i...
Switching to battery power
All-right, thanks Pauly. I was thinking that but I wasn't sure.
Switching to battery power
I gotta find a way to use a battery generator but keep my Quad ESL's plugged into power 24/7. Any ideas?
Switching to battery power
I'm not sure how I would manage to keep my ESL's plugged in if connected to the battery.
Switching to battery power
pauly, that sounds great. I have my DAC, renderer, Quad 2905 ESL's, phono amp and turntable that I would like to power by a battery generator and the ECO is affordable.

I'm glad some folks are getting something from the post. There are some things for me to try. Thanks!
Mono Reissues and the Conical Stylus
lewm you’re correct and I didn’t realize that I had forgotten to mention that my cartridge description would apply solely to a true mono cartridge design. The criticisms toward a strapped stereo cartridge would be the same as the comments I had ma...

No Rhodium, OK but I'm leaving the Rhodium plated fuses in my amp as there's nothing objectionable about the sound and don't knoww if I could change those fuses myself.

Thanks to all! As for the NPS1260 contact solution. Is this safe to use? I read somewhere with the Walker Audio solution that it dries hard and cannot be removed. I’m interested in using the NPS1260 for multiple applications.

millercarbon, I'd have to buy some NPS1260. It's not inexpensive, that's certain.

I thought Rhodium is priced higher but that could have been isolated as they are hard to find. Anyway, I paid extra $ for the rhodium fuses in my amplifier. I had the cable at he end of my tonearm replaced with Wireworld cable which made a noticea...
