The Most Philosophical Song You Ever Heard
Gang of Four 'Entertainment!' yes, the entire album.
Is The FM tuner obsolete?
WEBN got bought out in the same way that WMMS did in Cleveland. WEBN was a fairly good station in the 1970’s but it never rose to near the level that WMMS did. Both stations are so compressed anymore, I don’t know how anyone can listen to either. ...

No mention of Louis Sclavis?

I still use my tube HH Scott for FM and a tube Zeneth Trans Oceanic for AM (baseball) and Shortwave. For FM, the stations in Europe are by far better than in the States. Probably because they get so much government funding.

Crazy Good Vinyl recording fidelity on COMMAND label
Everest records were recorded well but their pressings were cheaply done. There are Everest reissues that were remastered from the original tapes, so they may be worth looking into. I like Folkway's records but they've been difficult for me to find.
How to get into high end digital? (Feeding a DAC)
Audirvana is worth trying. With free trials, I’d compare it to Roon. Anyway, there are various ways to improve your digital front end in addition to a DAC or a transport/streamer.

Back in the day, is when I bought my Ayre QB9 and the emphasis was in how to make digital sound analogue. The technology has changed significantly since then. I was lucky in that Ayre has updated that DAC to the present. Maybe close to eight years...
Steely Dan Recordings: Best Versions of Each 1972-1980
Donald Fagen has been remastering Steely Dan and they sound great. Just make sure that your getting his most recent remasters as he did them previously as well. He starts with ‘Can’t Buy A Thrill’ and I believe stops just short of ‘Gaucho’.
Commander Cody
I just found him via his work with Jerry Garcia, New Riders, etc.. I really prefer Western Swing from the 1930’s 40’s and 50’s but I know Commander Cody was greatly influenced by that, as were many. His brother is a painter by the way.
Heat
antinn, thank you. I believe all of my capacitors are Vishay and that’s as much as I know. Anyway, I’m thinking that I’m safe in the attic as long as I stay away from playing time during the hot season. Because of the hardwood floors, it is very d...
Heat
Then if the room is cooler, the heat s being drawn through the heat sinks with greater efficiency?
