A late update šŸ˜œ my hifi has been in a calm state so to speak the last years, theĀ attenuators worked much better between the dac and pre than between the pre and power amp, but getting a Schiit Multibit which has maximum output of 2.0V RMS today I ...

No, sorry to disappoint you, running Supratek Cabernet pre into a Belles Class A power amp. Used to have QLN Signature speakers a long time ago, I was in a lengthy email conversation with the designer when he started the QLN brand again. Had a go...

What Power Amplifier Should I Buy?
StringAmp d220 power amp ( same designer as for the Gamut d200 versions) Michael has perfected the design all these years and his amps are built to last a very long time. He told me that the amps are even better sounding now, a lot of great revie...

The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
@johnah5Ā That was not much, my Supratek Cabernet uses 152 watts and my belles SA30 uses 354 watts!!! Makes me wonder if the S5 has sliding bias into ab early ?
Watts! How many do we need?
Anyone that listen at 113-115db are either def or stupid, or if doing it routinely maybe both? If you are not def, is it then something you aspirer to be ? Why would a music lover try to intentionally destroy oneā€™s hearing? As older we get our ...

The new Coda S5.5 amplifier: It's a "Petite Beast"!
@sim_audio_nerd How is the gain between pre and amp, does the pre and power amp make any noise when turning on or off ? Does the sound ever get bright ? And does male voices have gravitas, off course more depending on speakers.Ā  Ā
New expensive power cord for amp and no change in sound?
Your amp is not mid fi, it is high end, and I think if the amp is technically well constructed and you use a well constructed cable, could be $50-$100 in price depending on enclosure, your amp should sound at its 100%! If the amp is changing sound...
