Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing I don't know why measurements were even brought up if it doesn't have anything to do with opinion, then why bring it up?
Why not? I realize battery powered audio equipment can be better, I was making a point that some here say if a power supply is designed properly it will filter out all the power line noise, and this is simply not true.
We Can Make Classic Cars Outperform Today's "SuperCars": Why Not Vintage Audio? I thought it was common knowledge that electric cars are fast for drag racing, they have instant torque, try running them in a 500 mile race.
Why not? Why would a battery supply work better on the nagra if it is designed properly there would be no need, according to your way of thinking.
Best High Current amplifiers stable into low impedances Nelson pass addressed this question on the diy forum several years ago, he recommended the x600 monoblocks for the 1ohm apogee scintilla speakers.
I have seen a lot of ideas concerning Cable lifters https://positive-feedback.com/audio-discourse/bunking-cable-lifters/
Atma-Sphere Class D… Amazing Newton's laws were fact until Einstein came along, so some facts aren't universal.
Best High Current amplifiers stable into low impedances You would better off if you get a class A amp, the class A/b amps don’t always have enough heat sinking to drive a 2ohm load at higher volumes for extended periods.
Does anyone on this Forum have any experience with Audio research ref 610t monoblocks I heard the 610T amps in a biamped system in a dedicated room. The gentleman was powering the midrange/tweeter of a pair of apogee diva panel speakers, he was using krell FPB 750 MCX monoblocks for the bass panels, and an arc preamp. The sound was...
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes I doubt that there is any difference, the global branded tubes might be screened a little better is all the difference would probably be if any.
Beginner improvements for room acoustics; very helpful Darko video on reverb and RT60 @djones51 Since when does preference matter with you measurement types?
What is your take on high efficient speakers vs. low efficient speakers? @winnardt Apogee duetta signature can be rebuilt to be higher sensitivity, with the newer bass foils and newer midrange/tweeters and better magnets can get them up to 96-98db.
DSP vs. active analog crossover vs. passive analog crossover. What is your take? Is the OP talking about passive line level crossovers vs active vs DSP.
Horizontal vs Vertical biamping Not only that, but it's my experience that while the physical XO Hz & order may be known, they are only a starting point. Better performance may be obtained with active XO Hz & order quite different from stock parameters. Good ...
Horizontal vs Vertical biamping That's what I like about apogee speakers, they are already set up for active you just have to change a few wires around. There is also a lot of info on using an active crossover with them, you are correct though most speakers aren't set up like th... |
