Granny ring, Jetrexpro, all Maxima95 I have some 1/4" braid and it was too small to thread two runs of WE16g. I am using 1/2" braid. The F10 RCA opening was just large enough to shove the 1/2" braid thru. It's a tight fit and actually works pretty well.
Granny ring, Jetrexpro, all Maxima95 and Grannyring- after several days with about 100 hours of burn in and listening time on the WE16ga interconnects with Canare f 10 RCA plugs and shielding that is terminated at both ends its time for a report. At this point in the burn in...
Granny ring, Jetrexpro, all Glad to hear of your results with the Canare f10 RCA plugs Grannyring. As I mentioned above Belden IC users should also experience the same result if they try the Canare in place of the Switchcraft RCA. In a few days I'll install your shielding on...

Granny ring, Jetrexpro, all Bill I forgot to mention that the Canare F10 sound awful before they are burned in so give them 10 days of burn in time. Also I wanted to answer your question - on both the Belden and WE wire I think the Canere plugs added layering and depth to t...
Granny ring, Jetrexpro, all Will be interested to see if you hear the additional mid range layering with the f10s. Congratulations on your pre amp build.

Granny ring, Jetrexpro, all Heading out of town for a week but before I left want to give an update on Belden ICs terminated with Canare F10 RCA plugs. I think the mids open up and breathe a bit with the Canare. Bigger more spacious mids without losing the natural sound of t...
Classical Music Compositions from 1940 and later - Vinyl only Was Messian mentioned in this thread? His Quartet For The End of Time comes to mind and would been released on vinyl. He wrote this while a German prisoner during WWII and it was premiered in a prison camp. When I listen to it I often think of all...
Classical Music Compositions from 1940 and later - Vinyl only Rushton, you are welcome and thank you for starting this interesting thread. I know that current rock and pop groups are now offering vinyl as well as CD and digital downloads, but I don't know if classical labels are presently releasing on vinyl....

sleeving AudioNote tonearm wiring This is a very intersting thread. I have a rega P3-24 with an Audio note IQ3 cartridge and a home brew audio note preamp. Would this wire upgrade expose flaws in my rega/audio note set up or would it be an overall improvement? Thank you
What do you think is the best make volume control ?? ALPS NOBLE ???? Magnum PI, do you have the ALPS RK50? Its the very large and expensive ($800) volume control. Did you compare this volume control to a Goldpoint stepped attenuator in the same system and find that the Goldpoint attenuator sounds better? That would...
Classical Music Compositions from 1940 and later - Vinyl only this one is a stretch since is was composed in 1899 but Arnold Schoenberg's "Transfigured Night" might be a contender since it was rearranged in 1943. Karajan/Berlin on vinyl.
Elrog 300B vs Takatsuki 300B tubes Mesh Plate 300b's might not do to well in the Coincident Franks 300b amps. They would probably be run too hard and not have a long life. If I were running 300b Mesh my operating points would be conservative. 350v across the 300b plate at 60mA. I ... |
