speaker upgrade fever
Disapointig to hear the KEF Reference Series are on the bright side, errr maybe not bright back lacks warmth is a better way of saying it.  I think the KEF Reference are beautiful looking speakers.  I haven't heard them, but the Rosso Fiorentino s...
Getting a Divorce and can now buy floor standing speakers

Aggrivated tinnitus from speakers?
knock on wood by my tinnitus while listening is almost non existent the last couple of days.  I think what set me off when I posted was I was listening to a lot of synth wave/dark wave complitions on You Tube via my tv>>hdmi cord going into ...
Aggrivated tinnitus from speakers?
Bringing up an old thread.  Earlier in this thread I mentioned I had the Polk R700s and they were tinitus friendly.  Since then I got the audiophile itch to upgrade speakers and bought the horn loaded Klipsch Cornwall IVs.  Users and reviewers sai...
Dynaudio Evoke 20
IMO the Evoke series punches above it's weight, you get a lof a enjoyment at a relavtivley lower price point.  You can listen to it for a long time without any fatigue.   I have heard the Evoke 50 extensively but not the 20.  It has decent dynam...
BEST SPEAKER THAT COMES TO LIFE AT LOW LISTENING LEVELS
If it is speakers, Klipsch Cornwall IVs.  I own a pair, best low level listening I have heard.  But I would try sjgak suggestion and try the Schist Loki Max first.
Has anyone actually heard the Dali Epikore 11? Impressions welcome.
These might be my end game.  I would have to cash out on some of my investments to make it happen.  I'm in really good shape there but does not mean my wife will let it happen.  To be fair, she has been very supportive of my spending in this expen...
Rosso Fiorentino Arno 40 speakers Great speakers/Beautiful music
Thanks teajay. I don’t listen that loud these days, probably 65-75 dbs. I was looking at getting the Dali Epikore 11s, but I am definitely going to look into the Arno 40s. I think that one would be an easier sell on the wifey. :-)
Rosso Fiorentino Arno 40 speakers Great speakers/Beautiful music
teajay, I read your review with intrigue.  I didn't see any rock or pop recordings in your review.  How would you characterize these speaker with that type of music?
Speakers for low-level listening
I have a McIntosh MA 8900 as well.  Mine is paired with the Klipsch Cornwall IVs.  I listen at low levels most nights, I haven't felt the need to mess the the EQ at all, I seem to be able to get good frequency extension without it.
Audio envy - dang!
testiengraber.  Yes, I have the USB, best I have tried.  For USB I have used Audioquest, Kimber Axios and Technerov.
Biwiring make any sense?
Dumb question.  How about owning biwire speaker cables but the speakers have only two terminals instead of 4?   Is the signal split and flows into the naked or unhooked up wire?  Any negative impact on the sound from that?
Has anybody heard the Dynaudio Evoke 50?
I just set up the Evoke 50s in one of my systems.  Sounds good out of the box.  Does this speaker have a long run in time?
Audio envy - dang!
Lak, that is not the case with my set.  There are two wires coming out of the speaker cable, one for each side.  There is a separate wire that is not attached to anything that goes to the outlet ground connector.  I will give Captain a call
Audio envy - dang!
Lak, thanks, I get that part, but there are two other wires, one for each speaker cable side, that I assume go on the terminals of the amp. If so which output terminal? I already have Rel Subwoofer wire on some of the output terminals.   I took ...
