I need some CD player suggestions please The Elite PD-D6-J. I have this and have been very happy with it. The Audiophile Liquidator price isn't a steal (I got my from Pioneer directly for under $240 to my door), but it's a solid unit that get great reviews. Mine is not sitting on three N...
I need some CD player suggestions please Summitav - I puchased a subwoofer from them and it arrived in a factory sealed box, but did have an issue. It cost me the shipping to send it back, but they replaced it with another new one after they confirmed the issue. I talked to the same pers...
I need some CD player suggestions please You can pick up an Elite SACD player online from Audiophile Liquidators for under $500. I have the player and have been very happy with it. The Elite SACD players seemed to be a solid product. I picked mine up for under $250 direction from Pioneer...
Power strip recommendation. You might consider something like the APC P8V that retails for under $100 and has eight outlets. APC is a trusted company when it comes to power protection.
Power strip recommendation. I recently got the APC H15 and have been very happy. I can't say I've heard much, if any, difference in sound quality from my SACD player, but maybe a small improvement. Certainly nothing negative. Maybe the placebo force is not strong with you?
CDP with minimal controls on front panel The Elite units also have the ability to shut off the digital display and other unnecessary digial circuits for improved sound. I can't say that I've ever heard a difference, but I do leave it in pure audio mode. For me it was a good indication th...
computer isolation I'll go out on a limb and say no. If you're output is a digital signal then no for sure and if your outputing an analog signal then I doubt there is any level of isolation that could improve the signal.
CDP with minimal controls on front panel I have the PD-D6-J and it's obviously setup the same way. I assumed most of the high end CD players were similar, but it sound like these are a minimalist design.I would assume you like the way it sounds, mines great.
HT Preamps with GOOD 2 channel sound? Why not connect your two channel sources directly to your amplifier and bypass the pre-amp all together? You must not have an integrated?I have an Integra 50.1 receiver and have been very impressed with it so far. I would imagine that an Integra p...
to SACD or not There's at least one member that was raving about his Pioneer Elite PD-D9-J player and I think it was rated highly against much more expensive units.I have it's baby brother (PD-D6-J) and have been very happy with it.
Mythos ST or B&W 683 or ML - Purity or Vista Since I don't know the retail prices on the speakers this is a general piece of advice. I'd suggest putting a lot more of your budget into the front three channels and spend less on the rear channels. I think you'll be happier overall since your f...
Mythos ST or B&W 683 or ML - Purity or Vista You'll want to choose a setup that includes a subwoofer if you plan to use it for blu-ray based home theater. Not having specific sub channel makes a huge difference. Based on my limited listening experience with the three brands that you list I'd...
CD-Receiver Recommendations The Denon S-5BD for $1,800 might be an interesting solution. The home theater features might not be what you're looking for, but the ability to play blu-ray audio in the future might be nice. One unit does it all. I've never heard or seen this pro...
Oh no, not B&W again How did the 800's sound on your old amplifiers that you drove your 802D's with? Did the new amps give you a new appreciation for the speakers? Also, what caused you to upgrade your amp?
how does current work in an amplifier? Specs are like statistics. The only statistics you can trust are those you fabricate yourself. |
