Stereo Times 2024 MOST WANTED COMPONENTS List
A $5,000 fuse is an affront to sanity. And the $2,500 "jitter" $2 adapter is simply criminal.
Some thoughts on dust covers
@elliottbnewcombjr Apologies for not replying to your post. I had asked about the layout of your room. You were kind enough to answer in depth including photos of the space. At the time, I had a 2 week dose of coronavirus, and neglected to follow ...

Where's the next weak link in my analog chain?
Why not upgrade to the MoFi Silver or UltraGold cartridges?
Declare the correct value on the Customs form?
I took that advice and still lost a $350 @sph part sent to Malaysia. With no recompense.  certain foreign countries NOT to purchase insurance or send their item Registered
Declare the correct value on the Customs form?
Probably best not to make a habit of it.  The album reveal is worth a thread of its own.  the full refund is assured via PayPal and my VISA (based on prior experience alas).
HAVE CABLES EVER TAKEN YOUR SYSTEM FROM SOUNDING JUST OK TO SOUNDING GREAT? Experiences ?
Small but significant improvements; enough not to want to revert to the existing ones.
Declare the correct value on the Customs form?
Ouch. I hope you can afford the loss on this, but it doesn't sound good.
Whats playing on your system today?
Nick Cave - The Boatman’s Call. Van Morrison – Beautiful Vision The song Cleaning Windows is a reference to Van’s job in the 60s. Roy Harper - Full Concert London 1990

Stereophile review of the new Wilson Watt/Puppy
I learned long ago that when a reviewer mentions any aspect of the sound, the reality is much more exaggerated. "A little warm" = dull "A little neutral" = sterile "A little bright" = searing treble "A little reticent" = dead
What would you save in a fire?
Sorry to hear that you've been affected by that disaster. Where's a god when you need one? I've fireproof cases with important docs, old love letters and photos. Jewelry. Guns. The turntables and amps.
Shopping for a new TV... this is one deep rabbithole...
I’ve bought Samsung 65" TVs - UHD $397, QLED $697 from Amazon Prime. No issues. The UHD is excellent with 4K. No need to spend more.
ACTUAL MUSICAL SOUND VS. MEASUREMENTS
I must be out of the loop but I could not care less.
