Totem Forest, Mani 2's or Green Mtn Audio Europa The totem mani 2's are the way to go. i have had multiple pairs of totem speakers in the past (model 1's and arros) and sold them all to buy 2 pairs of mani 2's. The forests are also a great sounding speaker and are much easier to drive than the m...
Bookshelf spkrs revisited -Spendor/Dynaudio/FA if you liked the Dynaudio speakers, you will probably like the Totem speakers. i liked the totems better than the dynaudio's. Try out the totem model 1's, great little bookshelf speaker. The totem forest or hawk speakers are a smaller floorstandin...
Totem owners Sygamel, my point is this. the model 1's are great speakers, i owned a pair for years (currently have 2 pairs of the totem mani 2's, and used to own a pair of totem arro's) so i am a little familiar with totem speakers. if you need a center channe...
Totem owners muzikat, i know what he asked. i would recommend the model 1 center over the mite. my point is if you spent that much money already for a great pair of speakers, don't short yourself with an inferior speaker (compared to the model 1) in the center.
Totem owners i would go with the model 1 center channel myself.
Current Trends In Home Audio in my area, most of the nicer homes we have been looking at lately have had dedicated home theater rooms. for example, we have been to the 2 local home shows (first group of homes were in the $1.3 - $2.0 million dollar range and the other home sho...
Von Schweikert vs Meadowlark vs Triangle i'm not sure how much power your amp has, but i would recommend you listen to the totem mani 2's. i preferred the mani's over the vr series (even the vr-4's) and the triangle's. i have not heard the osprey speakers. if you don't have a powerful am...
50hz deep enough? Bomarc, i don't have a misimpression about your thread or any others. you made a comment that states no bookshelf speaker is flat to 50hz. i disagree with you unless you can tell me that you have listened to all the bookshelf speakers out there. a...
50hz deep enough? for a small room like yours, the model 1's will sound very nice for your musical taste except for 110db headbanging metal. i used to own a pair in my audio room that is only a couple of feet bigger than yours. you can always get a musical sub to c...
Experiences with ModWright Sony 999ES the tri-vista sacd is one heck of a player, very nice sound. another fantastic sacd player for the same amount of money is the esoteric sacd. i have heard a few of dan's modded sacd players. i just heard his tubed modded sony 9000es sacd, which so...
NHT 3.3...any info? i had the home theater setup that dave described above except i used the 2.9's. (2.9's, ac2, 1.5's, 2 sub two subs). i still use the ac2 and the 2 sub two's. i had better luck with the home theater setup than a pure audio setup with the nht's. i d...
best concert venue for outdoors, the amphitheater in Jacksonville, oregon. for indoors, the arlene schnitzer hall on portland, oregon.
Which Room has More Potential? set up your equipment in both and judge for yourself. nobody is going to be able to tell you which is better without seeing and testing the room for its oddities. spend time adjusting the setup in each room (speakers further from the wall, out wid...
NHT 3.3...any info? before buying, make sure you listen to them with your equipment. i have owned 5 pairs of nht speakers in the past (from the superzeros to the 2.9's) and they can be irritating to listen to for long periods of time and they can be power hungry. i p...
Totem Forest or Totem Mani 2 the forest speakers are very nice but imo, the mani 2's are much better if you have the right amplification. if you have a smaller size amp, I would lean toward the forest because they are much easier to drive. (15 watts is way too small for the f... |
