Austin TX February, 2009 Okay, folks, I'm willing to step up. Let me see what I can figure out. Stay tuned...
LSA speakers? Well, the LSA1 Statements continue to sound better and better. I was listening to Ride Across The River from Dire Straits' "Brothers In Arms" CD today, and the amount of deep bass put out by those little mid woofers was amazing, plus, imaging and ...
Merlin TSM comparisons What's the equivalent of the Devore 8 now?
Merlin TSM comparisons Chadlesko,Thanks for the input. I currently have a pair of the LSA1 Statements which I am liking very, very much. They are still breaking in but sound marvelous. But I keep running into rave comments on the TSM's and am curious about them.
Merlin TSM comparisons From what I've read and from conversations with Bobby Palcovic, the mmi's are in a different league than the mme's: more room filling and more solid state friendly, for what that's worth.
Merlin TSM comparisons Thanks for that, hififile! Interesting that you, too, had Ohms. I had the walsh 100s for about a year and ultimately moved on to monitors. The reviews on the TSMs are so universally ecstatic that I'm curious about them!
LSA speakers? More people should know about these, for sure!
LSA speakers? I guess I'll add here that I am really, really enjoying the Statements. The bass is beginning to open up and they do amazingly well in that department. And the highs are so open, airy and sweet. I was listening the the other day to some Steely Dan...
LSA speakers? Thanks, Artmaltman. Do you have them, as well?
LSA speakers? Well, I've got around 25 to 30 hours on my LSA1 Statement monitors... still a good deal of break in to go, but I'm beginning to hear what they can do.One thing I can report -- they are, so far, very listenable, moreso than any other speaker I've a...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? I was using a solid state power amp (Bel Canto S300) with a tube preamp (Manley Shrimp) with my Ohm 100's and it was a sweet combination. Seems a good way to give the Ohms the juice they want with the dimensionality and sweetness of tubes.
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? I appreciate the help (and concern- funny, it's like an AA group)you got THAT right! LOL!
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em? Ron,When I had my MWT's (also in a smallish roomwith hardwood floors) bass was never an issue, and although I eventually moved away from the omni thing, I remember bass being one oftheir strengths, especially for their size. It may be that you're ...
LSA speakers? Finally got to temporarily hook up the speakers. (Temporarily because while my biwire cables finally arrived, I sold my old pair of stands and ordered the LSA stands, and those have yet to arrive. So now I have cables but no speaker stands... what...
LSA speakers? Thanks! I decided I am going to spring for the LSA stands, by the way. Those Statements are heavy little beasts, and my current stands, while plenty sturdy for a smaller, lighter speaker, feel a little wobbly and precarious to me under the weight ... |
