The indisputable benefit of fiber for music Using Ethernet to Fibre media converters at each end and an optical cable will isolate RF noise from the router end to the streamer, but it will introduce some noise of it own. It will give a bigger soundstage and more detail. The media converters...
“Black background” — What really contributes to this phenomenon? I’ve found you have to filter EMI/RFI from as many physical connections into your system as you can to achieve the true experience of the recording. Mains supply is obvious and for those who stream from subscription services or locally stored FLA...
Would I benefit from a dedicated streamer? I’ve found the Bricasti M5 a superb streamer, it just sounds very right. I use it with an Network Acoustics ENO filter and Ethernet cable on the input and find the AES output sounds the best.

Remarkably better sound possible with just 1 system component change? Agree with Tecknik, but in addition the Network Acoustics ENO Ethernet filter will do the business.
Any way to listen to wav or high bit files with anything approaching audiophile sound? I think the Bricasti M5 offers terrific value for money, I use it with BubbleUPNP.
A Very Useful New Discovery--EON Digital Filter from Network Acoustics Oh I see, thanks Nonoise, that makes sense now. I’ll get back to cooking my roast dinner and supping my Rioja then 🙂
A Very Useful New Discovery--EON Digital Filter from Network Acoustics I read a review by those people of the Lyngdorf TDAI 3400 and they gave it a bad review, poor measurements. They completely misunderstood how it operated. It happens to be one of the best sounding pieces of equipment I’ve ever had, so in my humble...
A Very Useful New Discovery--EON Digital Filter from Network Acoustics Mr Jones, with the greatest respect, I think you may be a little unkind to our customers referring to them as chumps. If you were to take the time to read the completely independent reviews on TrustPilot, posted by our customers who are thrilled w...
If you stream music from the internet, I can't recommend this more highly The approach at Network Acoustics to the noise problem in Ethernet signals is to filter it out passively. In our listening tests, the ENO Filter improves sound quality more than reclocking devices and audiophile switches, as these still emit noise.
Music streamers I used a cheap streamer that I highly recommend. The Allo USBridge Signature. That would leave you a nice chunk of Wonga to buy a decent USB lead, which would be essential to make it really good. Control it with Bubble UPNP.
Bluesound Node 2i digital output problems... Sounds like a fault with the DAC in the amp. I had that with a Quad Artera, I did a factory reset and it cleared the fault.
High end Class D amps? The Lyngdorf TDAI 3400 is the best amp I’ve heard for the money, with Room Correction built in too. Truly superb.
Streamer's without built in DAC options? One recommendation, whatever you end up with will benefit further by removing the RFI mixed in with the Ethernet signal going into it. Network Acoustics ENO filter works wonders. |
