What responsibility does a seller have to tell a customer an item has been serviced?
lou, thank you for your interest but evidently it's not a popular component and I was able to get a little bit of value out of it as a trade in with another dealer. I hope he can sell it or has sold it and make a worthwhile profit on it. But he's ...
What responsibility does a seller have to tell a customer an item has been serviced?
Yes I admit he did offer to take it back if I insisted. But I agree everything he did on his part of the deal was fair which is why I didn't insist. And audiogon has a no return policy. This is just a post finding out how people feel about the iss...

There was no problem with unit operation however I was wondering if an item had an issue in the past and therefore more than likely have another issue in the future does the consumer have the right to know without asking.Let's saying you are selli...
ARC Ref 75 SE issues?
Well I'm closer and am very sensitive to all kinds of sounds so the whirring of the fans even at a low level when listening to classical when the music becomes very quiet or even silent might distract me.Thanks very much.
ARC Ref 75 SE issues?
BIF Do you hear the fans of the ref150se or is it dead quiet?
ARC Ref 75 SE issues?
Well this is very disappointing as I like my ARC pre(will there be problems?) was looking for a suitable match and the 75SE seemed exactly what I was looking for. This was surprising news.Thank you all.
Which would you choose; Pass 250.8, arc 75SE or luxman m900u?
'exciting'

Hegel H30 Nice deep soundstage but as others have said looking for something more exiting. Interesting too that I read in a magazine review certain instruments have less impact on this amp than they would on another amp. I found this to be true!I ...

Dali Epicon 8Pre Arc ref 10Symphonic classical looking for deep soundstage and timbral beauty and space around solo and chamber instruments. Thanks
Upgrade? Luxman M-900u and C-900u from Pass X250.8 - Simaudio Evolution P-8
Had the 350.8 and liked it enormously but it was kind of a monster for my small listening room.Would I do just as well with a 250.8 with an Arc Ref 10 and speakers at 89db? What are the differences people hear between the 250.8 and the 350.8?
Favorite band or artist of all time?
Ella singing Rodgers and Hart. And I'm a big classical buff. Although the deluxe cd remastering of a few years ago was a disaster. Though I'm curious to know where you find current greatness in classical music. I simply stopped going I was so bore...
Curious what people think is the best "value" high end speaker (~5K to 15K)
I'll add a vote for the Vandersteen quattro carbons. I was really impressed. As it seems a number of others are. If you can get a used pair it would fit into your price range.
Classical Recordings from the Golden Age
Yes Tahra is gone but sometimes their recordings can still be found on Amazon.Music and Arts another excellent historical label I think is still in business. They have a great Furtwangler Brahms cycle.BMG has a Toscanini Philadelphia set which man...
Classical Recordings from the Golden Age
The major labels have some very good transfers on their earlier recordings. The Decca Mono box is extraordinary and a must have for any classical enthusiast no matter their stripe. DG and EMI have a number of Furtwangler recordings. I find on quite...
Turntable got absolutely crushed by CD
I'm afraid a musical performance in Milan would not be worthy of what you would find in a recording from decades ago. The live ambience is nice but the artistry is lost to the ages and not coming back. Now baroque opera in Paris might be another th...
