What does it take to be a die hard Beatles fan?
Somehow this got on the most tiresome of tiresome things: Eric Clapton. I get it. “There but for the grace of God go I.” I too could have been a Baby Boomer. I too could have been brainwashed by the Baby Boomer Music Media Industrial Complex, th...
Would It Be Possible To Get Help Finding This Song?
“I completely understand that you are fed up with all the news these days. I am at that point!”  If this is true, I’m afraid watching Fox News is not going to help.   In far too many ways to mention.   Maybe you could email someone at Fox News or...
Curious to know what you guys think/like about Pink Floyd's early work
I’m not the biggest fan in general, but like some of the later stuff (love “Fearless,”  “Have a Cigar”, really don’t care for The Wall) If I listen to them, it’s the early Syd stuff.

G Rated Comments About the Relevance of Pink Floyd’s Animals Album:
@grislybutter I understand.  You’re completely correct in terms of mental health, i.e. being grateful for what one has.   I’m sorry for having a defensive tone in my response to you.   Personally, I consider it a delicate balance (one I would neve...
G Rated Comments About the Relevance of Pink Floyd’s Animals Album:
@grislybutter Well, I could imagine in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first. I don’t live in other countries; don’t know ‘em, can’t vouch for ‘em. I live in this one. I don’t think my ideas (or anyone’s) are invalidated ...
Why 432hz Tuning?
@frogman Gotcha.   Thanks again for another detailed response.
Why 432hz Tuning?
Thank you for the detailed response.   Unless I’m missing something here, manufacturers of woodwind instruments could make very simple, very practical, very small changes to the construction of the instruments wherein anywhere from 432 hz to 440 w...
Why 432hz Tuning?
@frogman “…this change would render every non-string orchestral instrument in existence obsolete.” If woodwind instruments can be tuned, why can’t they be tuned to 432 hz?

How to deal with it? Teach your children well. Teach them that respect, personal responsibility, compassion and empathy for all life is more important than being another white-collar capitalist. Education is paramount. Teach them that “education” ...
G Rated Comments About the Relevance of Pink Floyd’s Animals Album:
@larsman Great line.   The relevance of the album’s ideas to our current state of affairs:  Selfishness, greed, entitlement, and a lack of respect for life obviously define the Western World today.   - corporate dominance at the expense of human...
Why 432hz Tuning?
@antigrunge2.  “If the instruments had been tuned to 432hz, the resulting overtones would have been part of the recording. Simply electronically transposing the recording cannot reproduce something that isn’t there.” Thank you for this great point...
What are your favorite songs or albums for illustrating a deep soundstage?
@blisshifi Wow. Not only are you loaded with the good stuff, but also sporting the uniformity of the silver/wood/black visual aesthetics, all the way down to the actual turntable…damn!! Way to go!! The good stuff awaits…
What does it take to be a die hard Beatles fan?
@bdp24 “The fact you ask that question is evidence you know nothing about being a musician.” non sequitur, Ad Hominem, Ad Verecundiam. “Q: What could possibly support such a statement? (‘sitar ruined George as a guitarist.’) A: I listen to Dave...
