The Impossible Has Happened
@chocaholic How about: “it looks like they copied the Titanic complete with the hole and headed out to sea.” Does this qualify?
For the first time...
@michaellent  "it will take 92 years to play 2000 records at two hours a day." There's hope!! You might get through all 2,000 albums after all?

@simna Toeing out the speakers seems like good advice. Dynamat makes some good material that you can purchase in sheets. Just slice out what you need with a carton knife, remove the backing and stick them on. Literally takes 10 minutes per driv...
UPS. Friend Or Foe?
I've been on the loosing end of UPS disputes for a long time. Unfortunately, factory-supplied shipping cartons do not meet the "standards" for UPS packaging.  The rule of thumb for "correct" UPS packaging is that it needs to be able to survive a ...

@simna Lots of good posts here that should point you in the right direction. I’d like to comment briefly on your statement: "I’ve just bought Klipsch Heresy IV and I don’t want the cable to emphase the midrange bump in these speakers even more."...

Where does "MidFi" differ from "HiFi" or "LOFI"?
@ml8764ag  thank you.  It’s nice to be acknowledged.  Especially at my age.
What I wish I knew before starting my audiophile journey
@tonywinga Good call on the OLED. The promise of true blacks is now a reality. In defense of "hifi" for your home theater: Things are happening on the screen at the speed of light. It takes power and precision from your audio system to keep up. ...
What I wish I knew before starting my audiophile journey
As long as our ears are still analog, they’ll be a need to connect with the air and move it around in our listening spaces. Precision raw speaker drivers, robust amplification, meaty cables, and the power from the wall to make it all happen will b...
Does the length of the Cable matter?
The 15’ of cable would definitely be a mistake if your turnable is 16’ feet away from the phono stage.  Otherwise, you should be fine.
Worth upgrading my cables?
My suggestioin is to get get your hands on as many cables types in as many price points as you can "reasonably" get your hands on. This would include cables above your "comfort zone" if they can be returned. Expanding the size of your "toy box" ma...
I feel bad for Generation X and The Millennial's
I am grateful that I grew up in an era where "progressive rock" exploded and muscle cars ruled the streets. With the advent of 8-track you could bang through the gears with your Hurst shifter while simultaneously switching tracks on your Mitch Rid...
Anthem vs Arcam
My experience dates back a few years, but I was a dealer for Marantz, Denon, Sony ES, Pioneer Elite and ARCAM.  I decided to do a shootout one evening involving the "premium" AV receivers we had on hand in the $2,000-$3,000 price range.  The group...
Warm and accurate bookshelves that can handle volume
After doing a little research, I think these bookshelves met the OP's criteria for warmth, accuracy and the capacity to handle a large volume of books.
Streaming – Discovering Similar or New Music
Tidal “Artist Playlist” works for me. I like the feature of previewing the queue so I can reject the songs I (or guests) don’t like. Or, bail altogether if the music becomes to redundant. The Mermen artist playlist is the best music to play while...
