What I wish I knew before starting my audiophile journey
As long as our ears are still analog, they’ll be a need to connect with the air and move it around in our listening spaces. Precision raw speaker drivers, robust amplification, meaty cables, and the power from the wall to make it all happen will b...
Does the length of the Cable matter?
The 15’ of cable would definitely be a mistake if your turnable is 16’ feet away from the phono stage.  Otherwise, you should be fine.
Worth upgrading my cables?
My suggestioin is to get get your hands on as many cables types in as many price points as you can "reasonably" get your hands on. This would include cables above your "comfort zone" if they can be returned. Expanding the size of your "toy box" ma...
I feel bad for Generation X and The Millennial's
I am grateful that I grew up in an era where "progressive rock" exploded and muscle cars ruled the streets. With the advent of 8-track you could bang through the gears with your Hurst shifter while simultaneously switching tracks on your Mitch Rid...
Anthem vs Arcam
My experience dates back a few years, but I was a dealer for Marantz, Denon, Sony ES, Pioneer Elite and ARCAM.  I decided to do a shootout one evening involving the "premium" AV receivers we had on hand in the $2,000-$3,000 price range.  The group...
Warm and accurate bookshelves that can handle volume
After doing a little research, I think these bookshelves met the OP's criteria for warmth, accuracy and the capacity to handle a large volume of books.
Streaming – Discovering Similar or New Music
Tidal “Artist Playlist” works for me. I like the feature of previewing the queue so I can reject the songs I (or guests) don’t like. Or, bail altogether if the music becomes to redundant. The Mermen artist playlist is the best music to play while...

You know when you are dealing with a BS company....
It is apparent from the comments on this thread that Morrow is considered to be legitimate and offers products that are embraced by many in this group. The challenge from their perspective is how best to communicate the value of something subjecti...
You know when you are dealing with a BS company....
@bigtwin "What is the sense in a MSRP if you are always offering the product at 35% - 55% off? Don’t tell me your cable is worth $1000 when you never sell it for more than $650? " Yes, I am not impressed when this happens. It my memory serves m...
Looking for a good small subwoofer...
Small B&Ws do a nice job of adding power and authority to the bottom end without bringing attention to themselves.
Is there anything better than live recordings?
"Is there ANYTHING better than live recordings" That's a pretty open-ended question.  I'm hoping to pole vault on my 90th birthday.  That would be pretty hard to beat. Related to the music, IMHO it depends on how important your engagement is wit...
Subwoofer boom is too much for me...
Yes, but you have to pay attention to the polarity of the washcloth. The label goes towards the inside of the speaker body.
Ultimate stereo nightmare
I had a good feeling that Jasmine would get you going. So, just curious, how are you feeling about your system today?
Interesting situation! Do we need this....
@rbertalotto  Okay, a relevant question, please?  During you're evening's musical session, was there the possibility of adult beverages involved?  I found (from experience) that the "correct" beverage can reduce the perception of upper midrange g...
