Beryllium Tweeters
My Yamaha NS1000m use those tweeters. Howevwr the B&W Nautilus 803 sounds way better.
18 inch subwoofer vs multiple 12 inch subwoofers with bookshelf speakers
18" sub. That when I go out to the club.  I'm a little too old for that.
Finally got a Luxman
@jafant Interesting, wouldn't think Thiel is a good match.  Just based on the their speakers being 4ohm, sensitivity at 86-90 range.  Probably sit at 3ohm territory when playing.  I feel Luxman is a killer with soft dome, high sensitive speakers. ...
Finally got a Luxman
IMO, Luxman is the finest Integrated Amp money can buy.  A company with rich heritage, innovation and build quality second to none.  You made the right choice.  Happy listening.
Opinions on NAD please
@umrkretread Amen.  I had a 1155/2200 from day one.  If I ever got rid of all my gear, this set stays with me.  It has given me so much musical enjoyment which is insane for its value.  my brother helped me recap it 5 years ago and its as good as ...
Opinions on NAD please
NAD is excellent, well known and manufactures great products.  I prefer their vintage stuff as I like when it turns on it makes the lights twitch in the house as it draws so much current.  As for the looks, you're getting that black box which I wo...

price tag.
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
I'm old school and will never care for the room treatment.  Will there be an improvement? I don't know  My ears are my ears, and if it sounds good I'm happy.  I have a Luxman 590AXII with Silverline Sonata II, I use the Emotiva HC1 monoblocks to s...
Fleetwood Deville vs Wilson Sound
@yesiam_a_pirate , you had me at $350,000.  Both are magnificent speakers I'm sure.  But people hear things with the price tag in mind.
What if a high end speaker measures really badly?
What if there is no measurements?  People gravitate towards pricings right away, higher price = greater sound, lower price = poor sound
Your thoughts on best audiophile speakers in $10,000 neighborhood?

The best speaker you ever heard?
Silverlne Sontata MKII
Buying Used Speakers
As with anything used, buyer beware always.  If you can see it visually and hear it, buy locally as the first option.  I've never had issues buying used, the speakers worked as they are suppose to.  Used is a good place to save money for sure.  If...
Your thoughts on best audiophile speakers in $10,000 neighborhood?
very subjective questions:  $10K speaker may not sound as good as $2K speaker to some. Based on synergy of the equipment used as well as where its made and what material being used.  Wharfedale Elysian 4 would be 2x the price if not made in China.
