Most cables designed for Bi-Wiring would have at a minimum four separate wires inside one jacket..
2 speakers, 1 cable, silly, but do I have options?
I know this sounds silly, but I am looking for ideas or help from anyone that MAY have done this, or someone that knows a solution.
I advised a family member to purchase speaker cable that carries enough cable for one PAIR or 2 speakers in one jackets as he was running cables under carpet for surround speakers. 'Be sure to verify with sales person before purchasing,' and that I would connect the system over Thanksgiving.
Sure enough, he didn't verify with any sales person, he didn't buy cable for two speakers, but ONE (one positive and one negative), and yes indeed, it was laid in under the new carpet.
SO, my question now is:
1) Is there any way to get two independent signals (for DD/DTS) from a single run? The speaker cable has 2 wires wound in EACH side (of the run. I was wondering if I can split the two cables wound in the positive side and two in the negative side, sending one to each speaker?
I know this is a mess, but if anyone knows of a way, shy of new runs, I would love to hear them!
Thanks
Dan
