I am also considering the Maggie LRS or .7 and I so I would be interested in replies to this.

Are you going to use them as desktop speakers or as monitor speakers? Are you going to be using the bass panel?

Depends on budget too. With the LRS or .7 I might be tempted to go with a Parasound Integrated amp I ran the HINT 5 with 1.7 and the sound was magical. You get everything in one piece of equipment dac, phono, and bass management. Whatever you decide good luck and enjoy the music.

Get the LRS. I was a bit disappointed in my .7s. They were not as good as my old MMGs in my opinion. I ran my .7s with a number of amps. PrimaLuna integrated with nice KT88 tubes, also a Parasound A21, and a Musical Fidelity integrated. All were good but the MF was the best bang for the buck.

Yes I will be using them as desktop speakers. I wii be using the bass panel.

OK cool you won't need a ton of power. Simple solution would be the Musical Fidelity M5. I also like my Rogue Sphinx, even though Magnepan hates class D, I think it would play well.

Oh geez I did not realize the mini maggie setup is a desktop system.  I thought this was about the smaller floorstanding speakers.
