Aurender N200 and HQPlayer

My recent acquisition of an N200 and T+A 200 DAC led me down the rabbit hole of trying to get HQP to stream through Roon to the N200. After several hours, I went from knowing absolutely nothing about HQP to knowing enough to realize that it's not possible without installing some extra hardware that defeats the whole purpose of having the N200. This 2021 article describes that journey.

I had hoped that something had changed since then, but learned that despite the N200 being Roon Ready, it doesn't have what's necessary to play with HQP.

If Aurender wanted to (and they probably dont), what would it take? Could they install an NAA hook in the software that would permit HQP to connect? I realize this is kind of a pointless discussion, but it has sparked my curiosity.

@mintakax ,

I don’t think you would get an answer for your question on this forum. You should definitely post this on Audiophilestyle forum. That’s a tech forum, and will most likely provide you with answers you are seeking.

My Innuos can be made an NAA. I use hqplayer through Roon. I've also used a mini PC, a memory stick. and a USB cable. Sounds great both ways.
