Break-in time for dynamic speakers seems to vary from one speaker brand to another. I have owned several brands that took from 50-100 hours to properly break in, but this can be accelerated by running the speakers at a moderate volume for several days (assuming you are going to be at work). It is normally the bass driver that takes the longest to break-in, particularly if it has a stiff suspension. Further, the bass driver, and to a lesser extent the mid-range driver, experience more excursion than the tweeter, and running these drivers on a sustained basis to induce excursion is what takes time.
I would hope, however, that your Virgo's don't actually "image all over the place" as Jbm suggests -- one would hope that the speakers actually image in only one, defined spot (otherwise, you are getting the opposite of imaging)...(smile).
