Awesome!  Thanks for the replies.  Some obscure items for sure.  Cool to see all of us window shoppers sharing the good deals that we know / obsess about.

heres another one!

$4200 originally.  Limited at 16 bit but whatever, they sound fantastic, are an all in one solution.  These come with the hub which is needed, but also allows you to link up multiple pairs of xeo’s.

put these in your great room, a pair of xeo 3’s on the back deck and your going to have good tunes throughout the home

My main system's speakers are new wood enclosures with vintage electro-voice drivers (horns and 15" woofer), crossovers, L-Pads from a Fisher President II Console made in 1958. The drivers in the horns are impregnated fabric, they last indefinitely, the woofers can be re-coned, the L-Pads can be replaced. Replacement horns and woofers can be acquired.

electro-Voice Model Six was amazing, and unique, it incorporated 5 separate sound profiles via a resistor based attenuator circuit, horns, and an 18" woofer.

I just happen to be looking for a SUT for my friend’s MC cartridge.

By design, this SUT 12.9 x-factor shows 100 ohms loaded impedance to the MC Cartridge. For many cartridges, fixed 100 ohm load can be an advantage. (typical 12.9 x-factor shows 283 ohms to the cartridge).

Rothwell says for cartridges with .3 to .7 mv signal strength; for coil impedance less than 20 ohms. 100 ohms is the ’ 10x formula’ of a coil with 10 ohms.

i.e. my friend’s Goldring Eroica LX .5mv signal, 8 ohm coil resistance. Goldring recommends 100 ohm loading. .5mv x 12.9 x-factor = 6.45 mV signal to MM input (allow for a small amount of signal strength loss).

i.e. my AT33ptg/II .3mv, 10 ohm coil impedance. only 3.87 mV signal; formula’s 100 ohm load. A bit low signal strength for me, I use my SUT’s 20.68 x-factor: 6.02 mV which shows 110 ohms to my 10 ohm cartridge.

Note: no MM Bypass; single input, it’s a specific solution which keeps the cost down.

This Entre ET-100 has 3 inputs, MM Pass, and 3 optional settings

I chose this one, Fidelity Research FRT-4: 3 inputs, MM Bypass; 4 optional settings
