Two questions:

1. What speakers do you like with the dTZ NHB 18NS & 108 MK2?

2. Anyone can comment on NHB 108 MK2 with MBL 101E MK2 speakers and whether the 108 has enough power to properly drive the 101E?

Many thanks

Thanks @rauliruegas ,  I do have dTZ gear (108MK2) and quite happy with it. Any thoughts on speakers that would play well with it. I listen mostly to country but also enjoy female vocals (e.g. Patricia Barber, Eva Cassidy) and every so often, revert to my youth and progressive rock (Genesis, Pink Floyd, Supertramp). Thanks

Hi rpmpam, @rauliruegas is exactly right, that would not be an optimal match, but I have listened extensively to a loudspeaker that would match well and does all genres without bias. It has a sensitivity of 92 dB/W/M. It does not have the most benign impedance curve, but at this sensitivity your amp will do fine. The loudspeaker is the Franco Serblin Ktema. They are handsome speakers, beautifully made and a great value. I prefer them to any Magico or Wilson loudspeaker I have heard. Serblin was the head designer at Sonus Faber. He left Sonus to start his own company. The Ktema is the type of loudspeaker everybody loves. It is insanely musical and casts a glorious image. If I were going to get a point source speaker I would get these in a heartbeat.

Agree with the above.

Any speaker you like with 90+ sensitivity would do fine. The MBLs are not among these

Given the voicing of the amp, I would go for speakers with a flat and extended high frequency.

One "point source" type of speaker I would strongly recommend is the German Physiks Borderland (or a smaller model) - it is a single driver all the way down to 200Hz or so (AFAIK) and it sounds excellent with a Dart.
