I think you’ll have the same no matter what you get. Modern streamers have a lot of buffering.
What I am more worried about is whether you have copper coming from outside to inside of your home. If you do I suggest a LAN isolator like this one to prevent surges from getting into your internal network via the Ethernet, as well as at the end of any long Ethernet runs, say 30' or more.
