Innuos Zenith MK3

Has anyone experienced Zenith skipping out and then jumping to the next track? It comes and goes. Sometime it will run fine for entire listen session; other times it’s so repetitive that I have to turn it off. When skipping, the signal is lost on my iPhone and on the DAC. Sounds like an incoming signal issue but, happens on streamed tracks as well as those ripped on the internal hard drive. If you’ve experienced this, what was your remedy? 

Any feedback will be appreciated! I know I can simply send it to Innous but, I hesitate as it will be out for weeks.

I’m interested in this as I have 2.0.6 on a Zenith and since 2.0.5 I’ve had the track skip issue on Qobuz. Can’t comment re: Tidal as idiot use it enough. I don’t have an Ayre DAC (Chord Hugo TT2) so is it really just a DAC issue?

It may be the DAC. I would try to get my hands on a different DAC and see if it still skips. Do you have a local buddy who has one to lend you?

So a question about roon.

from what I read, you need an active internet connection at all times when using roon so it can check you are being a good little boy or girl and have paid for ypur appropriate license.

 

What happens to roon users if there is an internet outage either local or affecting roon license servers?
