Apart from removing resale value, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with what you are proposing. If possible, omit the plugs altogether and clamp the bare wire in the posts.
Jorma no.3 cut a small piece and make jumpers
Hi all, I have bought single Jorma no. 3 speaker cables and I want cut a small piece to make jumpers out of them for my bi-wired speakers. I want to use crimping spades. Is this even possible or will the wire inside be too minimal? and is it bad to cut the existing factory terminated plugs? Want to use Oyaide spades to reterminate, would you do this or keep everything original and look for a different solution? Thanks for your opinion..

@imhififan not a bad idea at all, I use Tannoy dmt II’s and I recall those are wired internally using van den Hul scs, happen to have a piece of scs estimate 18 awg, made 4 super short pieces from that wire just now, should blend right in like that. Gonna try this solution for a while, thanks for this helpful hint, cheers..have a very nice day!! |
@chayro You are correct. I didn't think it through. It was past midnight! |
