Laura Nyro "Eli And The Thirteenth Confessional"...Analog Spark Label

I bought this LP when it first came out years ago, but have never listened to it.  What a mistake!

On the Analog Spark label and superbly recorded and mastered, this is a wonderful recording.  Quiet, open, deep/wide soundstage.

And the songs and that voice!!  Taken WAY TOO soon from us.

Highly recommended!!!

Agree!  The Analog Spark label is great.  So is Shane's Intervention Records.  Have most of those.

I have recently been buying some Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series & the Tone Poet Series...very impressed so far!

+1 on Speakers Corner!  I have 10-12 titles and all of them are excellent.

Another fantastic small label is Impex.  The new 1Step pressing of Getz/Gilberto is breath-taking.

I know this is old hat by now, but "Jazz At The Pawnshop" is coming out on a 1Step.  Still one of favorite overall recordings.  I still remember the first time I heard this on a top notch system...it was like being transported into that smoky, noisy jazz club.

One reason Mobile Fidelity has always suffered from a bad image is their choice of titles to release. Some great, others real doozies!

In contrast, the reissue labels named above show consistently great taste. As does of course Chad Kassem/Analogue Productions.
