@jjss49 Which of your amplifiers are you using to drive the 1.7is?
Maggie 1.7i vs 1.7 (what was changed??)
anyone know, factually? wendell seems rather coy about disclosing, which is rather disappointing
i got my set of 1.7i’s (on magna risers) - these modern versions are just terrific
it has been since 1990 that I have had maggies (3a’s back then), so nice, so much fun, so wonderful to be listening to them again (and probably set up right this time around, in a proper room!! 😆)
anyhow, anyone know what was changed going to the ’i’ model? there is mention of crossover improvements as i research the topic... but nothing specific or concrete

@jjss49 I have always wanted to try Maggies. My room size is limiting however in the new room I might try the small maggies (forget model) for near field listening. Wonder if the XA25 would have enough power for them. Getting very close to moving my system to the new digs. Sounds like you will be busy given the many amplifiers. |
@jjss49 Thanks for your response. Yea, I was thinking the little LRS would be the one to try for my room. The price is very reasonable, I will be placing a system in the living room. Should I get a pair they might end up there. Would likely have a higher wattage amplifier to use in that system. |
