You may also contact Kaosun through kaosuncd.com. If CD mechanism is no longer available and laser got weak (thats the worst case scenario, but usually skipping may be cured by lens cleaning or tracking/focus balance re-adjustment) he knows how to put and align new laser

it s hard to imagine that Meridian no longer supports this player?
As much as this brand's products cost the consumer, they should stand behind them.

I suggest to clean a lens with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) first. In majority of cases proper lens cleaning solves the problem.

Try this, but if it's still no good, it's new laser time CDM12.5 / VAM1205
cheap enough, and if your just a little mechanical an easy replacement Go the whole mechanism as it's easier than just replacing the laser.
