Missing ground pin-- problem or not?

I'm thinking of buying a monster power conditioner used-- the 5100. The plug has a broken or missing ground pin and the cord is hard wired to the unit. Is this a serious problem that should stop me from getting this amazing deal, and/or could i possibly get a good plug end (like from furutech) and be in good shap?
