More news on the Herron Line Stage

Yesterday, I finally got my Dynavector 501 arm lift working again. tt was quite a struggle fot me, and it's not done as well as I'd like it to be, but it works.

The main story here is how much the Herron improved the sound of my analog front end. (Garrard 401, Modwright 9.0 SE Phono Stage with power supply upgrade, Audio Technica ART9 Cartridge). Sarah Vaughn sounded like she was in the room with me. Drums, piano, everything sounded so much more real than ever before.

I thought things might be improved, but not this much. It sounds much better than my digital front end, which I thought sounded pretty wonderful, has been brought down several notches due to the improvent in listening to what makes you think you're listening to real live music.

I feel very blessed now, I feel I've been rewarded somehow. I really missed my analog front end, and it had me up very late last night/morinng.

Thank you, Self-Santa!

Congrats ! That is the way for some of us…an improvement in one format resulting in supremacy in a sonic attribute or three leads to pushing to catch up or exceed…be it high speed tape, vinyl or digital…. i call it the virtuous circle. ;-) glad to hear it gives you joy !,,,, enjoy the music

I've been looking for one. They don't become available very often. That's why I jumped at the Line Stage, knowing it was rare gem.

Dan just wondering with Keith now retired is he still servicing his gear? I'm sure it's very reliable way back when I had the very first preamp he made the VTSP-1.A solid  and very well built unit but a tad more neutral than I wanted.

Jond, I don't know about servicing equipment, though when I called him, he was very pleasent to talk to.

You can contact him at:314-434-5416

Or email:

I spoke with Keith recently and he will remain active in supporting his clients as he winds down production. Anyone who knows him will feel very confident in obtaining service as needed as long as he is around. I say as needed because IMHE his gear is among the most reliable in high end audio.
