From my experience and from others that I know who own Oppo, failure rates are few and far between.

My 105 has worked well for the 4 years that I've owned it. I did wind up calling their customer service a couple of times for issues that turned out not to be related to player. They were very responsive and helpful. Oppo gets good marks for product reliability. I would worry about Marantz or NAD which have less enviable track records and I would save the money |
