I have the Red outlet. 400 hours to break in. Good results but the fuses are killer.
I have active Manger S1 speakers and they take two fuses each. TG only had two Yellow fuses on hand and I installed one on each speaker last night. Very huge SQ increase. May now go 4 Red.
So far, I’m finding the QSA Stones to be the best value for for me in their line. The trick is to use all three colors together, and put them in places that have strong EM fields, like on top of power and signal transformers.
I had one SA outlet in the wall and changed it out to the Red. Small positive outcome. I still have it and May install it in my bybee stealth power conditioner. Not such an easy task seeing the wiring on the outlets and positions are hard to change out.
i have only tried the red fuses. one i my vitus sia 025 one i my ayon s10 sig. they both gave me the sound i was looking for. big powerful rich clean clear. pleasant. i just want to keep listening.
The best I can describe the difference is the Quantum Red provides more detail and image depth. The SR purple is more rounded, pleasant sounding. I have the red on my digital and the purple on my amps.
But I would like to try additional reds on my mono blocks but probably won't due to costs restraints.
@ozzyWell, imo you put the Red in the right source component. I get the cost implications. I can afford it BUT still have a hard time thinking about spending $1400 for a frickking fuse.
this may sound crazy, but has anybody A-B’d these things against a soldered wire connection to see if they are actually carrying out some kind of enhancement function akin to Bybee bullets, (which are in essence just a thin piece of foo foo wire located within an RCA plug)?
Has anybody tried the receptacles from QSA? Looking for something to tinker with even though everything sounds great. I have a Furutech NCF in the wall that has been my mainstay for quite a while so wondering if anybody has had good luck with one of the QSA's besting it.
The problem with aftermarket fuses is that they first sound spectacular, but then over time, they get tiresome as you realize they're too bright or colored.
Another issue is they can sound lean, or hollow. Beeswax does not have this problem.
I know audiophiles who have gone back to stock fuses because of these issues.
I've gone back to a stock fuse at the moment. I'm going to try the SR Purple and if it has the same issues, I'll stick with stock fuses.
I'm totally open minded to trying tweaks that seem to defy logic, to the point that I've ordered a QSA Light Blue fuse this morning from an online retailer I use a lot here in the UK.
At the moment only 13A QSA fuses are available for use in UK mains plugs, which is fine; I'm not comfortable opening components etc.
Anyway, I've been itching to try one of the various brands of fuses and settled on the QSA; my question is, which component would the fuse benefit the most?

Instinctively, I'm thinking source first, but the fuse world is alien to me so I'm open to any suggestions from all you guys who have been experimenting with these products for some time.
