Yep. Spoke with my local dealer about this recently, who’s been selling QS in the USA as long as anyone. He only carries Audio Note and QS, that’s it. He’s had older QS MX amp, preamps on trade-in with fancy faceplates. Looked nice. And, asked him about gear I’ve come across that Mike use to modify, and no longer does either. My dealer commented about him not wanting to also have to fuss with getting the faceplates absolutely perfect. Time consuming too. I spoke to Mike about this once myself. Seems he just wants to build no-nonsense value gear that works well, with less returns around the world, and sells for its sound. I actually kinda prefer my stealth function-first QS Mono 120 amps as-is. Any amazing buy!
