i replicate it with low cost buddhist brass bowls.. With a modest but real audible overtones set delivered  indeed...

I never buy "tweaks"...not because they dont work, they sometimes work, but HIDE the real acoustic method behind a partial result...

It is more fun to experiment and replicate anyway...

Yes, cymbals do work. I have a 16" medium crash on a plate stand between mine, and it slightly increases a perception of openness as well as center image focus. I use it with the top of the bell facing me.

Cymbal will be better than brass bowl but too much expansive.... 😁😊

It didn't cost me any extra because I have a drum set.
