Shanling ET3 transport: anyone changed or upgraded the fuse

ET3 FYI the lid is a complicated design- IMO too complicated. Mine slipped out of my hand and hit the floor, causing the innards to break inside,no longer able to lock the cd in place. Only place to get replacement is directly from Shanling, assuming they have them available separately. I place a rubber mat on the floor i hopes of softening any future drop-page and just ordered 2

audphile1    I was looking at the Shanling as a back-up and secondary transport that I could tailor the sound of.  My main transport is a Bel Canto CD3t.  I have several slugs of different metals and the sound of each is quite different, at least as significant as the differing digital cables used (AZ MC2 , Neotech NEVD 1001 w/oyaide bnc & xhadow rca, and Grover Huffman Pharaoh w/Oyaide Focus1 xlr).  The first time I tried slugs in my components, I was blown away by the improvement and now consider it an essential upgrade.  

Not being able to replace the fuse if it blows without voiding warranty is nonsense. 
Not being able to upgrade the fuse be a deal breaker is just as crazy. 
Fuse is not what makes the transport better. It’s the quality of parts, clock and power supply (SMPS vs. LPS).
Get a good transport and stop worrying about what fuse is inside. 

I love my ET3 but instead of messing with fuses get a VeraFi Audio Snubway and maybe even a Mainstream. My first exposure was when I upgraded my Audio Alchemy DDP-1 by adding the outboard power supply. HUGE improvement. Snubway reminds me of that

So if the fuse blows during the course of "normal" use, to replace it requires a total disassembly of the transport to access it?.....Strange.... That alone would keep it off my "shopping" list.

Yeah wouterk, it's a nice-looking transport and the reviews are enticing for sure.  I just know that upgrading the fuses (or using quality slugs) makes a for big improvement in sound quality, but the fuse is buried in this transport and I was told could only be accessed by removing a board so.....   That has been a deal breaker for me so far.

I just purchased the ET3 after watching reviews on YouTube by reviewers I value. 
The transport works very well in my setup with Denafrips DDC, DAC, pre amplifier and ATC active speakers. I am really enjoying listening to CDs again after years of streaming. 
What works best for me: over sampling 4x and connect via optical. 

It is/was on my list to replace my much enjoyed Audiolab CDT 6000 until...

I put VeraFi Audio Very Black Hole isolation footers under it. $199/4. I placed 3 under the 6000, one directly under the spindle where I suspect the more bad vibs emanate.

They also sell a cool fuse system that's worth looking into, among many other interesting and reasonably priced products ie class A amps, subwoofers...
