Should people with no turntable or reel to reel be considered audiophiles?


Just like those driving a Porsche SUV can join PCA (digital audio fans can join Audiogon) but are certainly not Porschephiles unless they also own a coupe (Panamera owners I guess gets a pass here).

Yes. One is not defined by the things they possess.  I presently own neither, yet I have owned many of each in the past.  It is akin to saying you cannot be a sports car fan if you don’t own a triumph, Austin Healey or old Jag.

Technology has changed, like me, but ownership does not define passion.

Digital lives matter! 

As well as radio and cassette......
Only  if you’re doing it because you love music, and want get as much enjoyment as you can afford....and afford.....and afford 
Definitely not! They are too interested in music, and not enough in antiques.
