Strange occurrance with Adcom 750 preamp

I was moving my stereo to a different part of my room. Cleaned all connections and treated with Walker SST silver. (light coat). Turned my stereo on and tried playing tape on tape output. Nothing. Tried tuner and it works!!!!!! I double checked connections and I have tape in tape inputs. Did I create a small short in my preamp by ussing the treatment. Mike
