There are approximately 585 billionaires in the US. The IRS has hired 87,000 new agents to crack down on the billionaires. That sounds about right. Nothing to see here.

All of those thousands of new hires are to take place over a 5 year period in anticipation of thousands leaving and retiring. Not all are going to be agents as they need clerks and lots of support staff. Besides, their main objective is to go after those millionaire and billionaire tax cheats and not the ordinary worker and they are not sending armed agents out there to harass them. People have to stop with the uniformed whining.

This reminds me of the same old commercials that come out this time of year of poor people getting "heart stopping notices" and "grand seizures of property" in order to get people fleeced by the companies who put out that nonsense.

All the best,

Sure..... If they're replacing those that are leaving why are they "new hires" and why the billions in additional budgeting. They will run out of millionaires and billionaires very quickly and start going after middle income earners. Most billionaires and millionaires have accountants that take advantage of our complex tax code. That does not make them all tax cheats.
