Trouble Understanding an Ad.

I am thinking about upgrading to a stand alone DAC so I have been perusing US Audio Mart. I came across an ad listing a Moon 280D as well a a Moon MiND V2 Streamer. If I'm understanding right these are separate components or am I wrong and this is a Streamer DAC? For some reason an Emotiva Tube amp is in the pics, at least that's what I believe it is. There is no way to contact seller. What am I dealing with?

on the ad page, lower left, green button 'Reply to Ad' is how you write to the seller.

I have to ask,

Have you decided this is THE model you want? seller says retail 2500, sale 2000. If new with warranty is 2500, I'd rethink, buy new or offer less.

If still on factory warranty, perhaps transferable, the maker will cover you for remaining time? or at least ask seller if they will help you make a repair claim under their name.

@jerrybj,

It is the correct photo.  Relatively new model that

adds MIND streamer to DAC in a single component.  Same as appears in

June 2021 Absolute Sound review.

Well, combined single unit, now it’s a darn good price as someone mentioned earlier. $3,400 USD.

So, why is seller saying retail $2,500?

Warranty Info

Sellers have agreed to handle any future claims for me, i.e. Luxman with 2-1/2 years remaining ... and I have done the same for buyers if something is still on original or extended warranty like a Camera. Did they register the free extended warranty?

If the retail price is indeed $2500, then the seller's asking price makes no sense. In my experience, any dealer will give you 10% off of retail right off the bat. Most will go as high as 20% ... although, in today's post-covid audio dystopia all bets are off!

OP should contact a dealer to see what kind of pricing they can offer. Why take a chance on used just to save a couple of hundred dollars?

It may be the single unit which sells for $3,400. usd, OP needs to verify.
