@slaw. As is often the case, I get to thinking I know a lot about music, and then I read some of your recommendations and, not only haven’t I heard the tune, I haven’t heard of the artist.
@jfrost27 good call, that’s a great album. One of the highlights is Miles’ treatment of the second movement from Rodrigo’s Concerto de Aranjuez. Another excellent jazz treatment of the Rodrigo is on Jim Hall’s Concerto album, in case you haven’t heard it. Jim Hall is joined on the album by Ron Carter, Paul Desmond, Steve Gadd, Chet Baker and Roland Hanna.
