Both the VPI and Oracle are good tables. Of the two, the VPI with TNT platter is probably the better, price being equal. I have owned both, and while I prefer my Oracle Delphi V to any VPI, it is much more expensive. You might also look for a SOTA Star or Sapphire of the same vintage. They are all comparable in sound quality, with the VPI and Sota more geared towards bass and the Oracle more towards mid/hi.
Turntable dilemma.
Hi all, I was hoping to get some opinions on a couple of turntable I'm interested in. I currently have a Micro Seiki DDX-1000 with a Sumiko Premiere MMT arm. I'm thinking of getting rid of it and was looking at a VPI HW19 MKIII w/TNT PLATTER or an ORACLE DELPHI MKII. By backup table is an Ariston RD11. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
