Von Schweikert

I have a pair of Von Schweikert VR-4jr speakers and am confused on hooking the up give they have 3 positive and 3 negative connectors.  Also any idea where I can get the spike (connectors) to attach the upper and lower modules?  Thank you for any input or suggestions.

@usnavy8452 Did you get it figured out? I just got these same speakers less than a week ago. Waiting for new biwire speaker cables from Morrow.

On those the four binding post are just like any other speaker that is bi wireable. Bottom two are for your bottom woofers, top two are for your mid and tweeter.on the upper cabinet. The data link cable feeds signal from the top post on bottom cabinet to the top cabinet. Even Von Schweikert says using the data link is the poorest choice and much better to use bi wire which can hook to bottom cabinet bottom post and upper cabinet post. You can download an owner's manual online.

So I would not be connecting anything to the bottom connectors on the bottom cabinet?

The two sets of binding post on the bottom are for bi-wiring if you are using the data link or if you take out the jumpers you can run a length of speaker wire from the top post on bottom cabinet to the post on the upper cabinet.

I don't know why you don't have the spikes, but I would contact Von Schweikert.

As to the "3 positive and 3 negative connectors". These speakers have the option for tri-amplification (a separate amplifier for high frequency, mid frequency and low frequency drivers). To tri-amp them you remove the jumper straps and the data link cable. If you wish to drive the speakers with a single set of cables, you will need the jumpers for the lower cabinet installed and the data link cable in place.
