I had a VPI super prime scout and traded it for a Rega Naia package. I bought the VPI for unipivot arm and VTA on the fly. However, since then learned that unipivots also move in undesirable axes, and after much fussing with VTA, I cannot hear a difference unless I compare it quickly with digital playing same track at same time and just switching pre-amp input. I can only hear the difference in the difference between digital and vinyl, but not any difference when adjusting VTA on vinyl alone. And that difference is TINY. So it is useless for most records as I only have vinyl and digital for some. So went for the top end of light design as opposed to going the heavy route for TT, and listen to music as opposed to fussing with gear.
