Streaming from your Mac is a bottleneck. Get a good dedicated streamer, ditch iTunes, and get Qobuz or Tidal depending on which music catalog better matches with your tastes in music.
What are people using to upgrade from Channel D Pure Music to play from iTunes
I have been using Channel D Pure Music to stream my Redbook CDs from my Mac. I use Pure Music from Channel D and have been loving it, but it doesn't support 32-bit architecture and I need to find a replacement. Any suggestions? Has everyone moved to Tidal or Qobuz? I find that streaming a lossless Redbook CD through Pure Music sounds better than any streaming service. Love to hear some ideas.
What’s your budget? This Innuos Zen is an excellent streamer at a very good price, and you can also load all your CDs into it if you want so all your music would be available from one source. Innuos’ app is also best in the biz and very user friendly, which is also an important consideration. If it’s in budget I’d highly recommend jumping on this, and it’ll be a substantial upgrade in sound over your Mac. https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/650163113-innuos-zen-mk3-2tb/ |
if the idea of streaming using a dedicated network music player can be intimidating. Might I suggest a WIIM mini which can be found on Amazon. This little device does everything the big boys like INNUOS and AURENDER. Now you can get over the learning curve and be prepared for your future, buying decisions. |
if there is a need to Still rip CDs I would look at one of the INNUOS ZEN series. As far as purchase look on the INNUOS website for dealer location information. There are a couple of online dealers like Audio advisor, and The music room. |
Buy used. Here’s an Innuos Zenith you can get for less than the price of a new Zen, but others are available too you can find on hifishark. https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/650182374-innuos-zenith-mk3-2tb-storage/ |
